Product Description

What is a pointed-tooth chain?

A pointed-tooth chain is a specialized type of chain typically featuring chain plates with pointed-tooth structures, widely used in industrial applications.

Structural Features

Spiked chains are usually composed of chain links. Each link features outer plates at both ends, with inner plates attached to the inner walls of the outer plates. Pins are inserted between the outer and inner plates, with rollers mounted over the pins. Sleeves are fitted between the rollers and pins. The key feature is that the conveying edges of both outer and inner plates are formed into protruding and recessed spiked teeth.

Working Principle

Pointed tooth chains utilize ANSI/ISO standard roller chains that mesh with sprockets for transmission. The pointed teeth on the chain plates grip the material, enabling synchronized movement between the chain and the conveyed goods.

Application Fields

Pointed tooth chains are extensively used in the wood processing industry for gripping and conveying timber. They are also commonly employed in textile machinery and similar fields to transport strip-shaped items.

Advantages

The interlocking tooth design on the chain plates increases friction with conveyed materials, preventing slippage on the conveyor line. This ensures stable transport and enhances safety.

What is a single-row pointed-tooth chain?

A single-row pointed-tooth chain is a single-row structure of a toothed transmission chain. It achieves power transmission through the engagement of pointed teeth on chain plates with sprockets, widely used in high-precision transmission scenarios for industrial equipment such as machine tools and textile machinery.

Core Features

1. Single-row structure design, compact size, suitable for confined installation spaces, reducing overall equipment layout complexity.

2. Smooth, low-noise transmission via pointed-tooth meshing, achieving over 98% efficiency with superior operational stability compared to standard roller chains.

3. Constructed primarily from high-strength alloy steel with quenched treatment, delivering excellent wear resistance, extended service life, and reduced maintenance frequency.

Application Fields

Leveraging high-precision meshing, low noise, and compact dimensions, single-row sharp-tooth chains are primarily used in medium-to-low load industrial precision transmission scenarios, with core applications including:

1. Machine Tools: Suited for spindle transmission systems in lathes, milling machines, and drilling machines, ensuring stable rotational speed and precision control during machining.

2. Textile machinery: Used in feeding and transmission mechanisms of spinning frames and looms, meeting the demands of continuous high-speed operation.

3. Light industrial machinery: Covers transmission components in printing presses, packaging machines, and food processing equipment, accommodating compact installation space requirements.

4. Automation equipment: Applied in small conveyor lines, robotic joints, and precision reducers to achieve accurate power transmission and motion control.
